Climate protection and socially responsible corporate governance are the issues of our time. The demand for ESG-compliant financial products is unfractured and set to firmly increase over the next decades. This sets the scene for companies globally to tailor their products and services such to allow access to this steadily emerging sustainable financial markets with ESG-compliant financings. However, these opportunities are not readily available in every industry. Aviation is one of the sectors where – lacking access to electrification at a broader scale – challenges in meeting carbon reduction targets become most visible.
